Steel Horse Sisterhood Summit to roll into the Rocky Mountains in conjunction with Women’s International Female Ride Day

The greatest event in women’s motorcycle history….. Organized by Lady Road Dog and her team, the Steel Horse Sisterhood Summit is a three-day benefit, rally, educational event and trade expose’ where lady riders worldwide will enjoy this networking and socializing event designed to bring women together to share their stories while raising $$$ for charity. The sweet, throaty sounds of motorcycles from all makes and models will fill the clear Rocky Mountains air, and signal the beginning to this inaugural women’s motorcycle event. Registrants already include women from 28 states, 2 provinces and most recently, a member of the Leather & Lace MC from the United Kingdom.

WHY: Why not?? In addition to gathering a phenomenal group of female motorcycle enthusiasts (and their male supporters) the Steel Horse Sisterhood Summit is designed to support the following charlties: Helping with Horsepower, Ride 4 Kids, Accident Scene Management and Grace After Fire , as well as other local Colorado charities….. all 501 (c ) 3 non-profit entities.

Sunrise Ride & Steel Horse Sisterhood Photo Op on International Female Ride Day History will be made on Saturday, May 3rd. Women riders globally, taking this journey together and becoming a part of this history-making ride and photo op.

Driven To Ride Documentary Screening Screening of Michelle Bauer Carpenter’s Driven To Ride, a documentary that explores the unstoppable spirit and diversity of women motorcycle riders, will happen throughout the weekend and will be FREE to all paid attendees.

Speakers and motorcycle industry experts from coast to coast... The Keynote Speakers, Symposium Dignitaries and the Talking Stick Session offering moving and inspirational messages to audiences around the globe, and empowering stories will provide unique perspectives on the subjects that matter most to women & riding - today and in our future. Keynote speakers are Lady Road Dog (aka: Joan Krenning, Founder; Steel Horse Sisterhood, Laura Klock (Bike Builder, Owner; Klock Werks Kustom Cycles, Founder; Helping with Horsepower, Cycle Source Magazine's Motorcycling Woman of the Year in 2008, 2011 and 2012 Sturgis Hall of Fame inductee), Jessi Combs (Fabricator, Bike Builder, TV personality of All Girls Garage and title holder of “Fastest Woman on 4 Wheels), Genevieve Schmitt (Emmy-nominated television producer, owner of Solitude Ranch Communications, LLC, 2001 Sturgis Hall of Fame Inductee and editor of award-winning Woman Rider magazine), Eldonna Lewis Fernandez (Award-winning author, Retired Master Sergeant, USAF, CEO of Dynamic Vision International, Inc., Negotiation expert and Empowerment Speaker) and Lisa Brouwer (Instructor; Motorcycle Safety Foundation, Women of Faith, Personal/Professional Coach). Professional speaker and Harley-Davidson Rider’s Edge Motorcycle Instructor Michele Wierzgac will guide conversations with women riding enthusiasts during the Talking Stick sessions. Michele is a Rider Coach for Harley-Davidson’s Motorcycle Training Academy and the Motorcycle Safety Foundation!

Listen, chat with, learn, and get inspired at the SHS Symposium by Sarah Schilke, the current Marketing and P.R. department of Schuberth North America. Sarah is the first woman to serve on the Board of Directors of the Motorcycle Industry Council in its 100 year history, is a lifetime member of the American Motorcyclist Association, and has been on the Advisory Council and a presenter for three of AMA's International Women and Motorcycling Conferences. Joining Sarah will be Tigra Tsujikawa, Gina Woods & other female industry experts. Tigra is an experienced motorcyclist and has been a leader of women's motorcycling, as well as the driver of the AMA's International Women and Motorcycling Conference and AMA Hall of Fame Induction ceremonies over the past decade, leveraging her love of the sport and her work with women’s clubs and women leaders. Tigre has worked in the powersports industry for 12 years, with 26 years of street riding and eight years of off-road, dual sport, and desert racing. Gina Woods, the co-creator and co-producer of Open Road Radio since 1997, is a women with a heart for charity. In love with motorcycles and the biker’s way of life since her youth, she has been riding for more than 20 years, and her skills and knowledge of riding make her a credible source and a respected ambassador of the motorcycle culture.
